....it can be deducted that the use of Turval B0399 in the diet of the piglet weaned precociously can contribute in controlling the presence of a part of the noxious micro organisms present in the gastrointestinal system (total coli), and controlling the acidity contents.
Prof. Paolo Bosi ( DIPROVAL –University of Bologna)
The test was conducted at the Experimental Zootechnical Structure of the DIPROVAL – University of Bologna, on 24 weaned piglets 19 days old, taken from 6 litters and divided in half by sex.
A dosage of Turval 16 Swine (1,8 g/kg of fodder) was made in conditions of challenge, inducing in the animals a slightly altered state after a single oral administration of E.Coli K88 (1010 CFU per head).
All the subjects were slaughtered at the end of the test.
The results show that the additive preparation Turval 16 Swine:
the gastric and intestinal pH was significantly lower at the ileum and cecum level;
the number of total coliforms found in the feces was inferior to the average.

Concentration of Turval 16 Swine in the feed for testing: dosage 1,8 g/kg of feed = 7.5 x 10 3 CFU Kluyveromices B0399/g of feed
Effects on the pH of the intestine
The effect of the addition of Turval B0399 in the piglets’ diet on the pH in the different parts of the digestive system are presented in chart 2
In chart 2 , the effect of the addition of Turval B0399 in the diet on the presence of total E.Coli in the feces on the 8th day after administration of E.Coli K88 can be observed.
