Product Description / Composition

Turval® B0399®/0SP/50  is dried lactic yeast that contains finely balanced mixture of integrate inactive Kluyveromyces marxianus fragilis B0399 cells and hydrolyzed yeast cells.

Hydrolyzed component of the product: Kluyveromyces marxianus has been treated with a pool of protease-enzymes to hydrolyse the 50 % of protein content in free amino acids and in short chain peptides. Around 70% of peptidic fractions is represented by free amino acids, dipeptides and tripeptides that, in addition to be totally available, have a “para-hormonal” action: these short peptides have the capacity to be adsorbed by the intestinal wall without further hydrolysis. This means a very high digestibility of the protein with a positive effect on the growth rate of young animals.

Cell wall components rich in valuable beta-glucans and mannan-oligosaccharides are also preserved. These components are very well known in animal nutrition because for their immuno stimulating capacity. This capacity is enhanced by the presence of intact yeast cells (so called “para-probiotics”). Studies on different K.marxianus strains have demonstrated that K. marxianus is capable of inducing a specific set of mediators of immune system “so called cytokines) similarly to that of the Saccharomyces boulardii ref. strain, clearly indicating the ability of K. marxianus to engage specialized immune cells and impact the secretion of cytokines with distinct effects on adaptive immune responses. (Maccaferri et al.2012, Smith et all. 2014 and 2016). Importantly, the capacity of immune dendritic cell stimulation has been demonstrated to be independent of yeast cell viability.
