Daily intestinal bioregulator with selected natural lactic yeasts. The ideal new component for your horse's diet for an optimum state of health. It is an effective aid in preventing and treating horse colics.
The importance and usefulness of natural active yeasts, and particularly of lactic yeasts, in the nourishment and bioregulation of the intestinal apparatus of horses has been common knowledge for quite some time now. However, problems pertaining to the production, preservation and use of this product have limited its use considerably hitherto.
Our laboratories (*) have succeeded in finding an effective solution to these problems by adopting a series of technological procedures which have been perfected and patented during many years of research and experimentation under the guidance of qualified biotechnologists.
Said yeasts have now been made available to breeders as TURVAL 6 Daily complementary fodder which is capable of maintaining the yeast's probiotic properties inaltered and guaranteeing its preservability.
The fodder's lactic yeastsfeature enzimes capable of playing a fundamental part in digestion processes regarding sugars (especially lactose thanks to enzime activity brought about by the beta-galctosydasis enzime), absorbing nutritional principles and the formation of co-enzimatic factors.
These yeasts have also proven to be excellent bioregulators and modulators of intestinal bacteric flora (probiotic function). This process allows animals to reach and maintain an optimum level of health (with improved conversion rates), which in turn leads to better plastic yields
Once the lactic yeasts in TURVAL 6 Daily have been introduced into the anomals intestine, they perform a direct and indirect function on its intestinal microbic flora. Direct action is carried out on and against coliforms and many pathogenic enterobactreria. Indirect action, on the other hand, is carried out by favouring the development of specific lactobacilli, which are already found in the animal's intestines, and by creating the intestinal microflora which is necessary to maintain the animal's intestinal microbic balance.
The particular probiotic properties lie in their capability to guarantee high replication vitality in the presence of extremely low pH (3-3.5). This is also due to their external cell walls which are high in chitin content. They are unaffected by gastric juices and therefore reach the animal's intestines effectively and continue their metabolic functions.
They also act on an intestinal level by breaking up lactose and causing simple sugars to ferment. As a result of this, they favour the development of lactic acid which reduces the intestinal pH. This reduces the development of enteric coliforms and favours that of lactic yeasts which leads to an improved microbic balance.
These yeasts differ considerably from beer yeast (saccaromices cervisae), they belong to the lactic bacteria category, although they are eucariote, and their metabolic activity is more effective than that of beer yeast, as it has been observed that:
The active principle of TURVAL 6 Daily fodder comprises:
The TURVAL 6 Daily fodder has been specifically created in order to integrate a horse's daily diet. It is suitable for adult horses, foals, colts and brood-mares alike.
The TURVAL 6 Daily fodder has been tested on many different equine species under the careful guidance of qualified nutritionist veterinarians. It achieved excellent results when tested both as a bacteric flora bioregulator and as a complement to the daily diet.
The TURVAL 6 Daily fodder does not affect the horse's usual vitamin intake or therapeutical treatments. In these instances it also helps prevent diarrhoea and is useful in preventing gastro duodenal ulcers.
URVAL 6 Daily is at its best if it is used as a daily complement to the horse's diet.
Horses are exposed to many stressful events that may cause healthy problems. These stress situations include:
COLIC ( vew research about colic and Turval Horse))
Gastrointestinal upset (colic) can be caused by numerous things, from ingestion anything unusual such as weeds to a distribution of bacterial fermentation in the intestines. Although many colic cases are mild, some require surgery if the horse is to survive. Help keep the intestine functioning normally by feeding probiotic feed supplements like Turval 6 daily or Turval 12 sport.
SHOWING AND TRAVELING
While traveling and showing, horse are exposed to many adverse conditions such as inclement weather, and feed or pasture changes can lead to poor feed intake and weight loss. Use probiotics of Turval line to sustain a healthy balance of intestinal micro-organisms, and help maintain feed intake.
DURING PERIODS OF ENVIROMENTAL STRESS
Weather change and extremes ( heat and cold), can put stress on the animal, resulting in reduced feed intake, and weight loss. Maintain horses on Turval during these period.
DURING ANTIBIOTIC THERAPY
Antibiotic can destroy pathogenic microorganisms as well as the beneficial bacteria that are normally found in an animal's digestive tract. Use Turval feed supplements during antibiotic therapy. This is the only product ables to help intestine, maintaining the natural balance of microflora.
OTHER INCIDENCES OF DIARRHEA
The coexistence of beneficial and non-beneficial bacteria in an important factor in the general health of the horse. If this balance is upset. The potentially pathogenic bacteria increase, compromising the horse's health and growth. Use Turval feed supplements to help preserve a healthy microbial balance in the intestinal tract, so as to maintain performance.
AT WEANING AND OTHER DIET CHANGES
At weaning, a young horse's digestive system is not fully developed to efficiently change from milk to plant-based rations, which can result in poor appetite and weight loss. In addition, these horses are subject to further stresses such as vaccination and gelding. Also, because horse's have a unique digestive system, the grand intestine does not function normally. A horse's small stomach can easily be overfilled. This can cause the stomach pH to increase, allowing potential pathogens to grow. Use Turval 6 horse feed supplement to help maintain feed intake and weight gain during these times.
INCIDENCES OF FOAL HEAT DIARRHEA
Neonatal foals often experience intestinal upset, most often during the sixth and seventh day of age. Incidents of foal heat diarrhea can become lengthy and severe, resulting poor growth. Use Turval 6 at lower ration to help control the length and severity of foal heat diarrhea.
TURVAL 6 Daily is made with a balanced mix of ingredients including: distillers, wheat bran, typified yeast Kluyveromyces f. B0399, dried stillage of brewery.
