BIOVAL® PROBIOTIC LINE

BioVAL Plus, the flagship product of BioVal line, was inspired by “kefir” - an ancient fermented beverage from Caucasus with multiple beneficial health properties. Its active principle, the probiotic lactic yeast Kluyveromyces marxianus fragilis B0399, has been first isolated and selected from kefir culture (“grains”) by doctor Paolo Valles in late nineties.

In the following decade of substantial scientific research it was approved for efficacy as an animal growth and health promoter in different animal categories worldwide, the success that subsequently led to shifting the research focus on humans.

Finally in 2009 it was first marketed and approved by Italian Ministry of Health as a new generation probiotic, different from other common probiotics. It is the only yeast probiotic naturally residing human gut fungal population (mycobiome) - essential for immunity and healthy microbial balance.

★ SYMBIOTIC ACTION - Differently from other commercial probiotics it supports proliferation of endogenous Bifidobacteria (bifidogenic action) with ONLY 10 MILLION CFU / DAY; the “GUT-FRIENDLY” dosage up to 100 times smaller than S. boulardii, Lactobacilli and Bifidobacteria, that does not disturb reestablishing of unique, endogenous microbiome structure.

FINE MODULATION OF THE IMMUNE RESPONSE
- By finely regulating the production of pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines (mediators of immune response):

• increasing proinflammatory cytokines it may stimulate host defense mechanisms;
• reducing proinflammatory cytokines it is able to improve the potentially devastating inflammatory states, typical of most common diseases and syndromes such as food intolerances, allergies, atopic dermatitis etc.;
• as a source of prebiotics, 1-6 and 1-3 beta-glucans, present in its cell wall, capable of reducing inflammation.

UNIQUE CELLULAR STRUCTURE AND ENZYMATIC PROFILE:

• It naturally resistant to ANTIBIOTICS and to gastric environment!
• It is capable of DIGESTING LACTOSE and other complex, weakly digestible sugars and FODMAPs.
